SIP Phone Registrations Reports of Poor Service Performance

We have received reports from around the US that customers are seeing their telephones go offline and calls drop. These behaviors are due to some major internet backbone outages across the US affecting most internet traffic, not just ESI traffic. These outages are external to any of ESI's partners, so unfortunately we cannot route around them. Some customers may be able to fail over to an alternate server successfully, but it appears as most customers are having complete or nearly-complete lack of Internet access, in these cases, the telephones will stay offline until internet connectivity is restored. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates we receive.
